Get Out From Under, Inc.
This statement discloses the privacy practices for the Get Out From Under, Inc. (GOFU) websites - www.getoutfromunder.com as well as for all related regional or local websites operated by GOFU. The purpose of this privacy policy is to notify visitors to the GOFU website (a) what personally identifiable information is collected; (b) the identity of the organization collecting the information; (c) how the information is used; (d) with whom the information may be shared; (e) what choices are available to visitors regarding collection, use and distribution of the information; (f) the kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under GOFU's control; and (g) how visitors can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

Children must get permission from their parents before sending any information about themselves (such as their names, email addresses, and phone numbers) over the Internet, to us or to anyone else. GOFU will not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use any of its sites, to order GOFU services or products online.
The information gathered by GOFU falls into two categories: (1) information voluntarily supplied by visitors to our websites through transactional portions of the website; or (2) tracking information gathered as visitors navigate through our site(s).
To make use of certain features on our websites (such as the online ordering features), certain information will be requested as part of the ordering process. In order for GOFU to permit Members to access this feature, personal information such as name, address, and email address are needed. The provision of this information enables GOFU to allow Members to take advantage of the e-commerce features of the GOFU website. In addition, the information supplied will help GOFU offer more personalized features, to tailor its website to the interests and make them more useful to Members.
Supplying such information is entirely voluntary, but is necessary for Members to take advantage of some the services offered by this GOFU website. Members wanting to enjoy the advantages of using the website to order services need to provide GOFU with sufficient information to identify and authenticate the Members.
To help make the GOFU websites more responsive to the needs of GOFU Members and other visitors, GOFU employs a standard feature of browser software, called a "cookie," to assign each visitor a unique, random number -- a type of user ID -- that resides on each visitor's computer. The cookie doesn't provide the identity of the Members, just the computer that a Members uses to access the GOFU websites. In addition, GOFU uses the site usage information it collects to help tailor the site to the needs of its Members. GOFU'S web server automatically logs your IP address - which establishes your computer's location on the Internet - for the purposes of systems administration and troubleshooting. We use this information to deliver our web pages to you upon request and to measure traffic within our sites. In addition, we may use IP address information to tailor specific offers or information to certain general classes of IP addresses. GOFU does not link IP addresses to personally identifiable information.
GOFU may perform statistical analyses of visitor behavior in order to measure general Members interest in various areas of the site and to measure the success of certain features of the site. In performing these statistical analyses, GOFU may provide data to third parties in aggregate form only. Personal information about individual visitors will not be provided to third parties, except to the extent that such disclosure is necessary in order to permit GOFU to fulfill a transaction initiated by the Members or otherwise to conduct legitimate business activities related to company services or other services provided by GOFU to its Members. GOFU will provide to a Member a summary of his or her personal information upon request and verification of the Members identity. Upon request, GOFU will remove any Members information from its database, or allow any Member to opt out of further contact or to change/correct personal information that the client states as erroneous.
With Prior permission from Member at time of registration, using the email address provided at registration, GOFU periodically sends information or special value notification email to its Members about products and services offered by GOFU and/or third-party providers. GOFU reserves the right to contact all Members about their account status or changes to the site's visitor agreement or privacy policy.
All information gathered on any GOFU website is encrypted for storage within a GOFU- controlled database. However, as effective as encryption technology is, no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that information Members supply won't be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.
Any information you include in a message posted to any chat room, forum or other public posting area is available to anyone with Internet access. If you don't want people to know your email address, for example, don't include it in any message you post publicly. In addition, GOFU is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of Web sites to which they may link.
The Web is an evolving medium. If we need to change our privacy policy at some point in the future, we'll post the changes before they take effect.
Our use of information gathered while the current policy is in effect will always be consistent with the current policy, even if we change that policy later.
